Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical member which is adaptable to a large and thin display and has excellent optical performance and reliability at low cost.SOLUTION: An optical member is used for a backlight unit for a display. A concavo-convex optical element is formed in a one-dimensional direction or a two-dimensional direction on at least one surface of the optical member, and density distribution of the optical element becomes lower as closer to a light source. Furthermore, a distribution ratio of the optical element at a position closest to the light source is not less than 0.2 but less than 0.8 when the distribution ratio of the optical element at a position farthest from the light source is 1, in which the distribution ratio is defined as a surface area ratio of the optical element with respect to the optical member per unit surface area. |
