Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide particulate and highly-pure copper selenide powder for CIGS film synthesis by a step for crushing and mixing in an organic solvent, copper or a metal source containing copper with metal selenium or a metal source containing selenium, and a step for performing calcination in a low temperature region in which generation of coarse particles or selenium loss hardly occurs.SOLUTION: Copper or a Cu metal source containing a copper compound whose average primary particle size is ≤1 μm is mixed with one or more kinds selected from selenium and a Se metal source group of selenium compounds, then subjected to primary calcination at 200-400°C in an inert gas, and further subjected to secondary calcination at 200-400°C in reducing gas, to thereby obtain copper selenide powder represented by general formula CuSe, whose average particle size is ≥50 nm and
