PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make uniform the temperature of a nozzle plate whose temperature is lowered.SOLUTION: A method for controlling an inkjet recorder 1 includes steps for moving an inkjet head 11 which has three or more nozzle trains 14 and in which an element for ink discharge connected to each discharge nozzle generates heat accompanied by the application of a drive waveform in a moving region including a recording region and a folding region set outside the recording region and selectively discharging an ink in the recording region for recording where a drive waveform of slight vibration which does not result in ink discharge is applied to each piezoelectric element of a pair of the nozzle trains 14 located at both outer ends so that temperatures of the three or more nozzle trains 14 may be uniform while the inkjet head 11 moves in the folding region.
