PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical image diagnosis apparatus, medical image display unit, medical image processing unit, and medical image processing program, which allow simultaneous display of an inner wall of a biological tissue with a protruding part at which an outer wall of the biological tissue is protruded.SOLUTION: An inner wall extraction section extracts the inner wall of the biological tissue based on medical image data. An outer wall extraction section extracts the outer wall of the biological tissue based on the medical image data. A first protruding part calculation section obtains information containing the presence of a first protruding part in which the inner wall of the biological tissue is protruded inward, based on the extracted inner wall of the biological tissue. A second protruding part calculation section obtains information containing the presence of a second protruding part in which the outer wall of the biological tissue is protruded outward, based on the extracted outer wall of the biological tissue. A display control section displays first protruding part information obtained by the first protruding part calculation section and second protruding part information obtained by the second protruding part calculating section, on a display unit in a manner to be superposed on a biological tissue image.
