INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM AND INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress retreat processing performed by an external device in an abnormal case within an integration apparatus to the necessary minimum, in regard to an information processing system and an information processing method.SOLUTION: An information processing system makes each internal device in an integration apparatus perform abnormality determination under a condition different from that of the other internal devices and notify a common processing part of fail-safe (FS) request of a hardware resource (HW) when determining abnormality. When notification of the FS request from the internal device is received, the common processing part is made to notify the other internal devices of the FS operation of the HW in advance. When an advance notification from the common processing part is received, the internal device is made to notify the common processing part of FS operation permission of the HW and to notify an external device which performs cooperative processing of by which one of an own internal device and the other internal device the FS operation of the HW and abnormality are caused. Moreover, when notification of the FS request from the internal device is received and notification of the FS operation permission is received, the common processing part is made to perform the FS operation of the HW.
