Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device that can be observed from both sides of the device, and hides information that should not be observed from the rear side.SOLUTION: A display device 1 includes a display part 1b and a shielding part 1c. The display part 1b has a pixel surface on which transparent pixels are arranged in a lattice pattern. An image displayed on the display part 1b can be observed from both sides thereof. The shielding part 1c is arranged being overlapped with the rear side of the display part 1b, and therefore the image on the display part 1b can be partially hidden by displaying a mask pattern.
