PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To add and/or edit a display pattern corresponding to an image to be displayed in space.SOLUTION: A display system is comprised of a display device 1 displaying an image in space by using an afterimage phenomenon, and an editing device 30. The display device 1 includes: a plurality of LEDs; a storage unit for storing display patterns of images; a control unit for controlling flashing of the plurality of LEDs based on the display patterns; and a communication I/F unit for performing communication according to a predetermined protocol. The editing device 30 includes: a control unit for editing and/or newly creating a display pattern of an image; a storage unit for storing display patterns; and a communication I/F unit for performing communication according to a predetermined protocol. When the display device 1 and the editing device 30 are connected via the respective communication interface units, the display device 1 transmits the display patterns stored in the storage unit of the display device 1 to the editing device 30, and also receives display patterns transmitted from the editing device 30 to store the received display patterns in the storage unit of the display device 1.
