Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a 4-methyl-1-pentene-based polymer excellent in tacticity, transparency and heat resistance; and a film excellent in transparency, heat resistance and releasability, and suitable also as a release film, produced from the 4-methyl-1-pentene-based polymer.SOLUTION: The 4-methyl-1-pentene-based copolymer contains: 80-99.9 mass% structural unit derived from 4-methyl-1-pentene; and 0.1-20 mass% structural unit derived from at least one 12-20C α-olefin. The film containing the 4-methyl-1-pentene-based copolymer is produced so that the mole ratio (c/d) of the blocking coefficient c(g/cm) of the film to the dmol% content of the structural unit derived from the 12-20C α-olefin in n-decane-soluble components of the copolymer becomes within the range of 0.1-1.5.
