Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation method for further improving productivity in a gas-liquid reaction process using a minute space.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing a compound by reacting a reactant with a reaction gas in a flow channel with an equivalent diameter of 1 μm to 5 mm. In the method, the reaction gas is introduced into the flow channel from at least two places, and a ratio of a length of a reaction gas segment to the equivalent diameter of the flow channel in a reaction field is 0.75 or more. Here, preferably, the reactant is an alcohol and the product is a compound including a carbonyl group, and preferably, the reaction gas contains oxygen of at least 10 vol% or more.
