Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine control device for a rail-car that can restrain a variation in traveling driving force regardless of a variation in an operation state of an auxiliary machine (a variation in auxiliary machine driving force).SOLUTION: In an engine control part 21, a basic command generating part 22 outputs a predetermined basic command value Vm corresponding to a notch command signal from a master controller 20. Information for indicating electric power consumption of an electric load such as a compressor 16 and an air conditioning apparatus 17 among various auxiliary machines, is input as a load power signal from a power source device 15, and information for indicating vehicle weight is also input as a variable load signal from a variable load sensor 30. The engine control part 21 outputs a corrected arithmetically operated value (Vm2) to an engine 2 as a control command value by correcting and arithmetically operating (adding) a basis command value Vm by an auxiliary machine load correction value Vα based on the load power signal and a vehicle weight correction value Vβ based on the variable load signal.
