Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyvinyl alcohol emulsion type polychloroprene latex suitable for water-based adhesives excellent in water resistance and needing high water-resistant adhesive forces, to provide a production method therefore, and to provide a water-based adhesive.SOLUTION: The polychloroprene latex is obtained by emulsion-polymerizing chloroprene alone or chloroprene and one or more other monomers in the presence of polyvinyl alcohol having a structure represented by chemical formula (A) in the molecule. (Therein, in chemical formula (A), n is an integer of 1-3; Xand Xare each identically or differently 1-12C alkyl, H or a metal salt).
