Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resistance welding apparatus and a resistance welding method formable of a welding part provided with enough breaking strength when joining the welding part by resistance welding, where superposed similar first steel sheets are further superposed with a second steel sheet different from the first steel sheets in at least one among the carbon content, sheet thickness and hardness.SOLUTION: The resistance welding apparatus 100 is to join a welding part 12 by resistance welding, where superposed similar first steel sheets 10, 11 (for example, high tensile strength steel sheets) are further superposed with a second steel sheet 16 (for example, a soft steel) different from the first steel sheets in at least one among the carbon content, sheet thickness and hardness.
