Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst capable of exhibiting excellent catalyst performance and promoting an efficient reaction even with a small carried amount of a catalyst component, and a method for producing such a catalyst.SOLUTION: The catalyst is formed in a curved double thin film structure with a curvature, and uses silica with a diameter of 0.1-10 μm to carry the catalyst component. The silica in use preferably contains a methyl group and has the content of C derived from the methyl group being 3 mass% or more and less than 25 mass%.
