PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a virtual focal plane image data without producing a ghost and a blur.SOLUTION: A synthesis processor 25 comprises: a one-dimensional image decomposer 43; a virtual focal plane image data generator 44; and a synthesizer 45. The one-dimensional image decomposer 43 decomposes two-dimensional image data into one-dimensional images respectively by raster scanning. Based on two pieces one-dimensional image data for each scanning line, the virtual focal plane image data generator 44 generates one-dimensional virtual image data using an interpolation method or an extrapolation method, so as to generate two-dimensional virtual focal plane data virtually imaged from a different inside or outside viewpoint. The synthesizer 45 synthesizes the image data with the virtual focal plane image data using an addition synthesis method, to generate a single composite image.
