HONING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a running cost of a honing apparatus which is subjected to electrolytic dressing.SOLUTION: A rotary tool 13 of the honing apparatus is equipped with honing grindstones 11 and 12 for grinding a cylinder bore, and guide members 40 in slide contact with a guide hole of a tool guide. The guide members 40 are constituted of base members 41 fixed to the tool body 21 and slide members 42 fixed to the base members 41. A ceramic material is used as the material of the base members 41, and a cemented carbide material is used as the material of the slide members 42. Such a configuration of the guide members 40 can improve insulation properties and the wear resistance of the guide members 40. Thus, electrolytic dressing can be applied to the honing grindstones 11 and 12, an the wearing of the guide members 40 can be suppressed. Thus, the running cost can be reduced by extending a replacement cycle of the guide members 40.
