Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure insulation performance even when insulation gas is changed to CO.SOLUTION: The gas insulated switchgear includes a puffer type gas circuit breaker 1 which is provided with: a fixed side electrode 4; a movable side electrode contactable to and separable from the fixed side electrode 4; a puffer cylinder 6 linked with this movable side electrode 5; a fixed piston 8 forming a puffer chamber between the puffer cylinder and itself; and an insulation nozzle 11 by which COgas jetted from a blowing-out port 9 surrounding the movable side electrode and provided on the anti-fixed piston side of the puffer cylinder is guided to an open gap part 10 between the fixed side electrode and the movable side electrode. In the inside of a hollow insulated support cylinder 24 fixed to a ground tank and supporting a conductor, a passage 25 is provided through which COgas after arc cooling passes.
