LEAD BLOCK AND ROTATING CONNECTOR USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lead block that can be manufactured at a lower cost and can easily correspond to variation in number of pin terminals, and a rotating connector that can lower the cost of parts and can easily correspond to variation in number of terminals.SOLUTION: A lead block 1 is constructed by press-fitting and fixing a required number of pin terminals 3 in an insulative support member 2. Exposure hole parts 6, guiding grooves 7, and positioning protrusions 8 are provided at a plurality of locations on a bottom plate part 4 of the support member 2, and mounting hole parts 9 and base end holding parts 10 are provided on a plurality of locations on a jetty part 5 of the support member 2. Each of the pin terminals 3 is press-fit in the support member 2 while being slid along the guiding grooves 7, and a comb-shaped portion 3e is firmly fit in the mounting hole parts 9 and concurrently a base end part 3c is press-fit in the base end holding parts 10. A connection end part of a flat cable 20 is disposed in a recess section 2a of the support member 2 and positioned by the positioning protrusions 8, and strip conductors 21 exposed in conductor exposure holes 23 are weld-connected with welding portions 3d of the pin terminals 3.
