Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a colored composition for a color filter having a high contrast ratio, in which a highly miniaturized pigment is easily ground into primary particles, and to provide a color filter using the composition.SOLUTION: The colored composition for a color filter contains at least a colorant (A), a dispersant (B) and a transparent resin (C). The colorant (A) comprises an organic pigment (E) treated with polyhydric alcohols (D) having a hydroxyl group and having a vapor pressure of 0.01 mmHg or lower at 20°C and a melting point of 40°C or lower.
