WEIGHT MEASUREMENT APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weight measurement apparatus which is capable of suppressing consumption of a battery and prolonging life of the battery and is not affected by use environment.SOLUTION: A weight measurement apparatus includes: a power supply including a solar panel 16 and a battery 17; a power supply monitoring and controlling part 20 which monitors and controls the power supply; and a measurement processing part 2 which measures weight data of an object to be measured and calculates the weight of the object to be measured. The power supply monitoring and controlling part 20 includes a voltage detection part 21 which detects the generation voltage of the solar panel 16 and switches the power supply in such a manner that when the generation voltage of the solar panel 16 detected by the voltage detection part 21 is equal to or greater than a reference value of generation voltage, the solar panel 16 is used as the source of power supply to the measurement processing part 2, and when it is below the reference value of generation voltage, the battery 17 is used as the source of power supply to the measurement processing part 2.
