Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water heater capable of reliably preventing or suppressing a problem about inflow of rainwater into a neutralizing device, while suppressing complication of a structure or increase in size.SOLUTION: The water heater includes a neutralizing device 5, which recovers and neutralizes condensed water generating associated with heat recovery from a combustion gas by a heat exchanger 3B. The water heater includes rainwater intrusion detecting means Sa, 6, which can detect intrusion of rainwater when rainwater intrudes into an exhaust port 40 of an exhaust top 4. When intrusion of rainwater into the exhaust port 40 is detected by the rainwater intrusion detecting means Sa, 6 during driving of a burner 1 and a fan 2 is stopped, the fan 2 is driven to blow air to the outside of the water heater trough the exhaust port 40.
