Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly selective and efficient method for producing an optically active 3,3,3-trifluoroalanine and an optical active 2-methylpropyl-2-sulfinic acid (1-cyano-2,2,2-trifluoroethyl)amide as an intermediate of the above compound, which are useful as pharmaceutical or agrichemical intermediates.SOLUTION: Optically active 3,3,3-trifluoroalanine is obtained by reacting optical active trifluoromethyl tert-butylsulfinimide with a cyaniding agent to produce optically active 2-methylpropyl-2-sulfinic acid (1-cyano-2,2,2-trifluoroethyl)amide, and then hydrolyzing the product.
