Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seating detecting device for a saddle type vehicle that can reliably detect a riding state of a driver, even during sport travelling while suppressing cost increase.SOLUTION: The saddle type vehicle includes: a seat 9 where the driver can sit astride; a seat front cover that is provided ahead of the seat 9 and can be sandwiched by laps of the driver; and a seating switch 40 that is disposed under the seat 9 and detects a seating state. The protruded seat 9 includes a center part 30 in a vehicle width direction and right and left sides 31, 32. The seating switch 40 is provided in the center part 30 of the seat 9 and both sides 31, 32.
