Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication device which can connect to the Internet regardless of traveling speed of a vehicle.SOLUTION: An on-vehicle wireless communication device 101 has: a wireless LAN communication unit 201; an in-vehicle wireless LAN detection unit 203; a public wireless LAN detection unit 204; a vehicle speed information acquisition unit 205; and a communication medium management unit 206. The on-vehicle wireless communication device 101 connects to the Internet by selecting a public wireless LAN or a communicator 102 according to detected wireless LAN signal intensity and vehicle speed. Thus, an on-vehicle wireless communication device can connect to the Internet via an appropriate communication medium.
