Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system which uses an electronic information recording medium whose tolerance for displacement and rotational deviation are large.SOLUTION: The communication system is one in which a capacitive coupling type electronic information recording medium which has an IC chip capable of communicating in an electromagnetic induction effect and a pair of conductive thin plates connected to the IC chips and a reading and writing device which has a loop antenna and communicates with the electronic information recording medium are communicated in a non-contact manner via a relay medium which has a pair of conductive thin plates and a loop antenna. The pair of conductive thin plates formed in each of the electronic recording medium and the relay medium are formed in such a way that one of the conductive thin plates is formed outside the other of the conductive thin plates so that the outer conductive thin plate surrounds the inner conductive thin plate with a groove therein; the pair of conductive thin plates formed in the relay medium is connected to a start end and a terminal end of the loop antenna; the pairs of conductive thin plate of the relay medium and the electronic information recording device are arranged so that they are opposed to each other; and the loop antennas of the relay medium and the reading and writing device are arranged opposed to each other to for communication.
