POWDER CONTAINER AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To normally discharge powder after mounting a powder container on a device, or a mounting destination, even when a discharge port is clogged with powder.SOLUTION: A cap part 34Y of a toner container 32Y is provided with a shutter member 34d, a shutter seal 36 formed of a flexible film, and the like. The bottom of the cap part 34Y is formed with a toner discharge port W for dropping the toner by the dead weight, and slidably retains the shutter member 34d for opening/closing the toner discharge port W. The shutter seal 36 is provided by being extended from the inside of the toner discharge port W farther than the end of the shutter member 34d. When a user installs the toner container 32Y in an image forming apparatus body 100, the shutter seal 36 is pulled out from the cap part 34Y. Even when the toner discharge port W is left derelict for a long period and clogged, a lump of the clogged toner or the like is broken by passing of the shutter seal 36, thus normally discharging the toner.
