Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid brake device that controls a change of brake characteristics caused by leakage of a magnetic viscous fluid.SOLUTION: Seal gaps 180, 181 that communicate with a fluid chamber 114 are formed between a brake shaft 131 so as to surround the brake shaft 131 along the rotational direction in a casing 110. A magnetic seal sleeve 170 that generates a magnetic flux for guiding to the brake shaft 131 through the gaps 180, 181 includes sleeve magnetic flux guides 174, 175 projecting to the inner peripheral side. The brake shaft 131 includes a shaft magnetic flux guide 134 which projects to the outer peripheral side where it deviates from the sleeve magnetic flux guides 174, 175 to the axial direction and thus guides the magnetic flux from the sleeve magnetic flux guides 174, 175 through the seal gaps 180, 181 formed between the sleeve magnetic flux guides 174, 175 facing each other in the axial direction.
