Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing a double-raschel-knitted tube for artificial blood vessels, attaining efficient knitting while minimizing the occurrence of thread breakage or fluffing, and the double-raschel-knitted tube for artificial blood vessels, produced by the process.SOLUTION: The process for producing the double-raschel-knitted tube W for artificial blood vessels includes refining raw silk 2 composed of N-number of silk threads 1 each comprising a pair of core parts 41 formed of fibroin 11, and a skin part 42 formed of sericin 12 around the core part 41; removing a part of sericin 12 while leaving a part of sericin 12 to separate the pair of core parts 41 to thereby form 2N-number of skin core structure fibroin 4, thereby obtaining sericin coated silk threads 5 each composed of 2N-number of skin core structure fibroin 4; then applying first twist to the sericin coated silk threads 5 to form first-twisted silk threads; combining a plurality of first-twisted silk threads to apply final twist to form twisted silk threads; and using the twisted silk threads T as knitting threads Y to form a tubular knitted material.
