STOCK RECOGNITION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stock recognition device, which can reduce false recognition of a target even under dark ambient conditions such as at night and which can recognize whether a load is placed on a pallet with high precision.SOLUTION: The stock recognition device includes: an image pickup means 5 mounted on a lifting/conveying means 3 for lifting/conveying the load; a plurality of pallets 1 on each of which the load can be placed; a part 2 to be imaged which is arranged on the pallet and is hidden when the load is placed thereon, so that the image pickup means can not pick up an image thereof from above; and a recognition part 6 that confirms the presence of the part 2 to be imaged on the basis of an imaged signal of a prescribed pallet, whose signal is input from the image pickup means, and that recognizes the presence of the load on the prescribed pallet. The part 2 to be imaged comprises: the target 2a having a bright color and a prescribed shape; and a target surrounding part 2b which is arranged to surround the circumference of the target 2a and has a dark color.
