AIR FILTER APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air filter apparatus with high collection efficiency without pleating, damaging a glass fiber nor scattering the fiber of a filter element.SOLUTION: The air filter apparatus is produced by: forming an air filter 2 through overlapping filter materials prepared by depositing or laminating extra-fine fiber layers having the fiber diameter of 0.01-0.5 μm on air permeable substrates, that is, the substrates obtained by binding nonwoven fabric or woven fabric comprising glass fibers, or synthetic or natural fibers having the fiber diameter of 0.3-50 μm and thickness of 0.1-1.0 mm, with the organic or inorganic binders so that the extra-fine fiber layers of the filter materials are laminated on each other; forming a panel by holding the peripheral edge of the air filter between the joining frames 5; and composing the air filter units by arranging a plurality of panels in the filter frame in a zigzag form.
