Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for encoding and decoding a multi-view image in which multi-view image sequences can be encoded and decoded more quickly and efficiently.SOLUTION: The method includes: receiving a bit stream including information indicating whether each of pictures included in multi-view image sequences is a reference picture referred to by other pictures included in the sequences for inter-view prediction and data about the sequences; extracting the information and the data about the sequences from the received bit stream; and decoding the data about the sequences based on the extracted information.
