IMAGE PROCESSING SYSTEM, METHOD AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing system, method and program, capable of extracting a prescribed color area such as a gold foil area of a cultural heritage with high accuracy by using a simple facility.SOLUTION: An image processing system comprises a visible light source captured image data storing section 407, a colored light source captured image data storing section 409, a representative color area extracting section 411 and an image extracting section 412. The section 407 and the section 409 store first image data captured using a visible light source, and second image data captured using a colored light source having a prescribed single wavelength, respectively. The section 411 extracts an area of a first color from the first image data. The section 412 extracts an area corresponding to the area of the first color extracted by the section 411, from the second image data, and extracts an area of a second color from an area of the second image data based on pixel colors belonging to the area of the second image data extracted.
