DISK PLAYER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the chucking operation of a disk by a switch without increasing the number of used switches.SOLUTION: The disk player includes: a detection arm 7R abutted on the peripheral edge of a disk inserted into a disk insertion slot and swinging to open or close; urging means for urging the detection arm 7R in a closing direction; a first switch 66 switched when the detection arm 7R slightly opens; a second switch 67 switched when the detection arm 7R opens to a position not reached in the case of a small-diameter disk but reached in the case of a large-diameter disk 11A; driving means (rotary cam plate 8) for moving a turntable 80d toward the disk for chucking; and operation means (projected part 8n) provided in the driving means and for swinging the detection arm 7R to switch the first switch 66 corresponding to the chucking operation of the turntable 80d. The chucking operation of the disk is detected by switching the first switch 66 by the operation means.
