PRINTING SYSTEM AND PRINTING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system and method capable of accurately applying post processing to printed matter, which is processed and lined off after printing.SOLUTION: The printing system 1 has: an HDD 8 for associating print job data with post processing job data and for storing both data; a print head unit 21 for printing barcodes related to the association on media when printing an image on the media based on the print job data; a density sensor 32 for reading the barcodes printed on the media; and a cutter unit 31 for selecting the associated post processing job data from the HDD 8 based on the barcodes that are read, and for applying the post processing to the media based on the selected post processing job data.
