PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cooker capable of cooking delicious rice having sweetness.SOLUTION: A lid body 3 for covering an opening 1f of a body 1 of a rice cooker, includes an inner lid 4 arranged below lid heating means 11 for heating an upper layer part of a pot 2. Above the inner lid 4, a steam tube 16 having a steam tube air intake port 26 and communicating with the upper part of the pot 2, a steam tube storing part 15 with an exhaust port 19 for exhausting steam during cooking rice to air while storing the steam tube 16, a blower 20, an air intake port 21 for taking air provided on an outer shell of the lid body 3, an intake air path 22 for connecting the blower 20 and the air intake port 21, a blowing connecting tube A23 for connecting the blower 20 and the steam tube air intake port 26, a blowing connecting tube B25 for connecting the blower 20 and the upper part of the pot 2, and a blowing direction switching valve 24 for switching the blowing connecting tube A23 to the blowing connecting tube B25 are provided. The blowing direction switching valve is switched to the blowing connecting tube A23 side and air with low temperature is taken in the steam tube 16 by the blower 20 to prevent glutinousness from increasing and boiling over without reducing the heating power to heat the pot for cooking rice.
