Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bill handling device capable of enhancing feed reliability by preventing a bill from being torn and jammed and realizing a high speed conveyance of the bill.SOLUTION: A bill handing device including a bill depositing and withdrawing port 10 for collecting bills for deposit and withdrawal; a bill discrimination part 40 for discriminating the bills; a temporary storage part 20 for temporarily collecting and storing the bills; bill storage parts 30 to 33 for receiving and re-separating the bills; and bill conveyance passages 50 to 61 for conveying the bills to each of these parts, in which each bill conveyance passage is driven by an independent motor, respectively, and a conveyance speed of the bill in each bill conveyance passage is controlled to gradually increase.
