Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cut a printed material without stopping conveyance by using a rotary cutter, and securely cut the printed material linearly in a direction orthogonal to a conveying passage even when a conveying speed is changed.SOLUTION: A label producing device 1 includes: a platen roller 26 which conveys a label tape 3A along the predetermined conveying passage; a thermal head 31 which carries out desired printing on the conveyed label tape 3A; a rotary cutter device 610; and a displacement drive motor 638 which can displace the rotary cutter device 610 so as to change an angle of the rotary cutter device 610 with respect to the conveying passage. Driving of the displacement drive motor 638 is controlled in response to a variably controlled conveying speed, and the angle of the rotary cutter device 610 with respect to the conveying passage is controlled.
