Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a writing tool which can prevent a neck part from being deformed in such a way as to be twisted, causing falling of a knock member and twist-off of the knock member from the neck part when force in a rotating direction acts on the knock member with respect to a central axis in a longitudinal direction of a cap by increasing strength of the neck part of the knock member and a knock transmitting arm part.SOLUTION: The writing tool includes a writing body arranged inside a shaft cylinder so as to move back and forth, and a pressing member 15 arranged in a back part of the shaft cylinder so as to move the writing body. The pressing member 15 is formed of a cylindrical member. An engagement part which can elastically deform is formed on a peripheral surface of the pressing member 15, and an engagement receiving part with which the engagement part is engaged is formed on a shaft body. A diameter-reduced part is formed on the back of the engagement part in an intermediate part of the pressing member 15.
