PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear motor in which concentric accuracy of a needle and a stator can be easily secured while eliminating the necessity of highly accurate treatment of a member.SOLUTION: A rod-type linear motor 1 includes a field 2 and an armature 3, and by using the field 2 as a needle and the armature 3 as a stator, the needle can reciprocate with respect to the stator. The linear motor 1 includes: a rod 4 having the field 2; a cylindrical yoke 5 to which the rod 4 is inserted and in which the armature 3 in installed on the inner peripheral face; and a pair of bearings 6, 7 arranged on axial both sides of the yoke 5 and supporting the rod 4. The yoke 5 integrally includes a bearing holding part 52 holding at least one of the pair of bearings 6, 7.
