Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positioning information formation device, a detector, and a positioning information formation method for improving object detection accuracy.SOLUTION: In a positioning information formation device 100, a synthesis unit 103 synthesizes camera distance map information with radar distance map information to generate "synthetic map information". The synthetic map information is used for object detection processing in a detector 200. By doing so, an object is detected based on information obtained by synthesizing the camera distance map information with the radar distance map information, thereby object detection accuracy is improved. Namely, removal of unnecessary noise by reflection from the ground surface or the wall surface, etc. is expected by synthesizing the camera distance map information with the radar distance map information, thereby an object detection threshold is set low. Thus, even an object conventionally determined as impossible to be detected is detected.
