WOOD CEMENT BOARD AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wood cement board having excellent bending strength, long-term durability and impact resistance while containing wood chips and manufactured by a wet manufacturing method and its manufacturing method.SOLUTION: The wood cement board is a hardened product of a laminated mat produced by dehydrating and combing a slurry containing cement, a silicate-containing material, wood fiber and wood chips to form a combed sheet and laminating two or more combed sheets. The mass ratio of the cement to the silicate-containing material is 3:7 to 7:3. The wood chips are 2-5 mm and are coated with calcium. The combined content of the wood fiber and the wood chips is lower than 9 mass% relative to the total solid content. The method of manufacturing the wood cement board includes a process of mixing 2-5 mm wood chips with a cement composition, a calcium containing material or water produced by dehydration of the slurry and stirring in water of a predetermined solid concentration to coating the wood chips with calcium, a process of preparing the slurry, a process of producing the laminated mat and a process of pressing and curing.
