PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting diode which maintains a uniform distance between a fluorescence body and a light emitting diode chip to improve light emitting efficiency, and to provide a manufacturing method of the light emitting diode.SOLUTION: A light emitting diode includes a substrate, a light emitting diode chip disposed on a first surface of the substrate, a housing enclosing the substrate, a lead terminal 235 placed on the housing and electrically connecting with the light emitting diode chip, and a first mold part 260 placed on the light emitting diode chip and including a fluorescence body 250. The lead terminal 235 has a step protruding from an outer side of the housing, and an inner side wall and an upper surface of the housing have at least one or more recessed grooves.
