OPTICAL CONNECTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector capable of preventing falling of a caulking sleeve due to opening of a housing with a slit operated as a center, when a tensile force is applied to an optical fiber cable.SOLUTION: An optical connector 11 includes: a housing 17 for storing ferrules 21 connected to optical fiber cables; a locking arm 37 that is provided in the housing 17 and prevents the separation of a housing, or an object to be fitted with the housing 17; a slit 45 that is formed in the housing 17 and in which the locking arm 37 having moved in the unlocking direction enters; a stopper 31 having a recess 57 and positioning the ferrules 21 that are mounted on the housing 17; and opening preventing ribs 59 that are suspended from a pair of upper walls 43 of the housing 17, facing each other in the both sides of the slit 45 and that are inserted with their coming into contact with a left internal surface 61 and a right internal surface 63 of the recess 57 to regulate the separation of the pair of upper walls 43.
