PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control resonance of a mast support portion along a lifting guide mast in a lifting chain, and reduce noise and wear due to contact between the lifting chain and the lifting guide mast.SOLUTION: A lifting chain passes through a lower sprocket located in the lower end side and an upper sprocket located in the upper end side in the lifting direction of the lifting guide mast which guides an article conveying movable body so as to be moved up and down, and is wound along a winding path having the mast support portion along the lifting guide mast between the lower and upper sprockets to vertically move the lifting body to a target lifting position. A control means for controlling operation of the lifting driving means on the basis of information detected by a lifting position detection means, calculates a lifting velocity of the lifting body on the basis of the information detected by the lifting position detection means, and performs lifting velocity change processing which controls operation of the lifting driving means so that the unchanged lifting velocity may not continue for a specified time or more.
