PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of efficiently controlling contention communications.SOLUTION: In a mobile terminal device 100, a communication part 10 performs wireless communication in a first communication mode where communication is performed directly with other mobile terminal device or a second communication mode where connection is made with an external network through a relay device. A communication control part 16 controls operation of the communication part 10. The communication control part 16 controls switching of the communication modes of the communication part 10, and notifies a user of the termination of the first mode when the first communication mode is switched to the second communication mode.
