Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid state image sensor in which the electric resistance value of a conductive member in a potential gradient formation part is less susceptible to variation, and stability of operation and characteristics can be ensured.SOLUTION: The solid state image sensor 1 comprises a photoelectric conversion part 2 having a substantially rectangular planar shape defined by two long sides and two short sides and including a plurality of light sensitive regions 7 juxtaposed in a first direction intersecting the long side, and a potential gradient formation part 3 having a conductive member 8 arranged to face the plurality of light sensitive regions 7, and forming a potential gradient increasing along a second direction from one short side toward the other short side of the light sensitive region 7. The conductive member 8 includes a first region 8a elongating in the second direction between both ends in the second direction and having a first electrical resistivity, and a second region 8b elongating in the second direction between both ends and having a second electrical resistivity smaller than the first electrical resistivity.
