Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method for controlling flow through a rotor.SOLUTION: The system includes an inlet port (24) in the rotor (10) and an outlet port (26) in the rotor (10). The outlet port (26) is in fluid communication with the inlet port (24). A variable orifice (28) is disposed in at least one of the inlet or outlet ports (24, 26). The method includes a step of diverting a process fluid, and a step of flowing the diverted process fluid through a fluid passage (22) in the rotor (10). The method further includes a step of reducing the flow of the diverted process fluid through the fluid passage in the rotor (10).
