Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electricity storage device such as a secondary battery showing excellent cycle characteristics even if a fluorine-containing electrolyte, such as an electrolyte in which LiPFis dissolved, is used by forming an active material layer with silicon.SOLUTION: An electricity storage device comprises an electrode comprising a silicon layer on a collector, and a membrane layer on the surface of the silicon layer having a thickness in a prescribed range and containing fluorine. The thickness of the fluorine-containing membrane layer is larger than 0 nm and 10 nm or smaller, and preferably in the range of 4 nm or more and 9 nm or less. The fluorine concentration in the fluorine-containing membrane layer is preferably as high as possible, and the nitrogen concentration, the oxygen concentration, and the hydrogen concentration are preferably low. SiFgas can be used in forming the fluorine-containing membrane layer.
