PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording apparatus suppressing degradation in image recording accuracy.SOLUTION: The inkjet recording apparatus includes: a platen 36; a recording part 40 arranged above the platen 36; a pair of paper discharge rollers 54 arranged in front of the platen 36; a movable guide member 70 turnably provided between the platen 36 and the pair of paper discharge rollers 54; a drive part; and a control part. The control part determines the displacement amount of the movable guide member 70 on the basis of the kind of a medium to be recorded 14 and the amount of ink discharged by the recording part 40 and controls the drive part to change the posture of the movable guide member 70 to the posture corresponding to the displacement amount and let out the top end of the medium to be recorded 14 downward in a conveyance direction 38. After that, the control part 18 returns the movable guide member 70 to a support posture, and guides the top end of the medium to be recorded 14 to the nip position of the pair of paper discharge rollers 54 by the movable guide member 70.
