Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyte having a function for suppressing overcharge through electrolytic polymerization and a redox shuttle reaction caused by a reaction with a positive electrode high in potential when overcharged.SOLUTION: A nonaqueous electrolyte comprising a solution including a nonaqueous solvent and an electrolyte salt includes: a pyrogenic substance electrochemically causing an exothermic reaction at 4.3 V or more based on lithium metal; and a polymer type overcharge suppression material performing electrolytic polymerization at 4.3-5.5 V based on lithium metal.
