Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-performance solid polymer electrolyte fuel battery by preparing a catalyst layer which includes a Pt-containing noble metal catalyst component, a catalyst carrier carbon, and a polymer electrolyte so as to be adapted to a range showing a high cell voltage property.SOLUTION: The solid polymer electrolytic film type fuel battery comprises: a solid polymer electrolytic film 102 including a solid polymer having a hydrogen ion conductivity as an electrolyte; a fuel electrode 103 and an oxidant electrode 104 which are arranged to hold the solid polymer electrolytic film 102 therebetween; and catalyst layers 109 and 110 which are disposed in planes of the fuel electrode 103 and the oxidant electrode 104 opposed to the solid polymer electrolytic film 102 respectively and which each include Pt-containing noble metal catalyst carrier carbon particles and a polymer electrolyte. The compositions of the catalyst layers 109 and 110 are adjusted so that the amount of vapor adsorption per unit weight of Pt included in each of the catalyst layers is in a range of 200-500 [m/gPt].
